I’m Rachel, mother of two, founder of Raid My Wardrobe, and a lifelong advocate for living with intention, connection, and conscious choice.
Raid My Wardrobe began in 2010, born from a personal desire to refresh, recycle, and reinvent not just my wardrobe, but my life. At a time of major transition — balancing motherhood, passion, and purpose — I saw a simple yet powerful opportunity: to create a space where women could pass on what no longer served them and find beauty in preloved treasures.
My love for second-hand clothing was seeded early during my university years, where resourcefulness and creativity went hand in hand. Later, my work as a primary school teacher and in charity management deepened my belief in community, connection, and purposeful living.
In more recent years, I’ve expanded my creative vision beyond fashion, pivoting into the world of living spaces. I help people to create beautiful, nurturing spaces that support well-being, connection, and intentional living, through decluttering, organising, plant styling, energy clearing, and reiki healing and mentoring as The Life Alchemist.
When motherhood reshaped my priorities, I was drawn even more strongly to simplifying, slowing down, and aligning my everyday choices with my core values — sustainability, authenticity, and sovereignty.
I’m passionate about slow fashion, eco-styling, clean living, natural health, and inspiring others to make choices that honour themselves, their community, and the earth.
Raid My Wardrobe was founded on the idea that fashion can be meaningful, sustainable, and deeply personal. What started as a dream — one big hall, full of women selling and shopping preloved fashion — became a movement. Our first event in 2010 drew over 1,000 people and proved that a simple idea, aligned with heart and community, can create lasting change.
“The idea of giving new life to preloved clothes and also passing on pieces of my own to new homes holds a very real appeal to me and I want to educate and inspire everyone to do the same.” – Rachel
Today, Raid My Wardrobe is more than a preloved fashion event, it’s a movement. A celebration of women in all their diverse shapes, styles, and stories. It’s a melting pot of slow fashion, living simply, eco-styling, and preloved treasures — inspiring a lifestyle where fashion, home, and self are beautiful, sustainable, and soul-aligned.
