So now you are spending some time every few days getting your wardrobe items sorted and in fresh smelling condition leading up to the event. It’s time to start thinking about your stall.
Let’s talk equipment.
You are taking so much time to organise and prepare your garments that you want to ensure they are displayed on equipment that reflects their value and worth. Quality, sturdy equipment is a must.
What you’ll need on the day:
- Clothing Racks
- Coat Hangers
- Mirror
- Table Cloth
- Mannequin and/or Body Forms
- Jewellery Display
- Money Belt or Bag with long strap
- Carry Bags for customers
Clothing Racks – long racks allow for easier set-up and best use of space in your stall. Avoid umbrella styled, round racks or long racks with multiple hanging rods. Ensure your racks are sturdy and can carry the weight of your garments – test it first!
Source your equipment from:
- Family and Friends
- Secondhand Dealers
- Op Shops
- Social Media Buy Swap Sell Sites
- Freecycle
- Hire Services
- Make it
- Buy New
Start with sourcing the main items first and putting them aside in a safe space.
This is your chance to really personalise your space and stand out from the rest of the crowd with the way you style your stall on the day. Let your imagination run wild with props, colours and displays.
For those that have the eBook, we go into further detail with each step above.
Look at the equipment list and start ticking off the items you have and those you need to get. Make a list of all the people you can contact that may have equipment text and message them. By giving yourself plenty of time to do it in you’ll leave more time to be creative and have a stall everyone will want to stop at.
Warm regards,
