We are in the coldest part of of winter now and I have been hunting in my drawers for my woolens.
I have been disappointed to discover some holes in my jumpers and knit wear 🙁
I was thinking about cutting them up and creating something new however I just don’t have the time or motivation at the moment.
Hole created by a Clothing Moth – they just love wool!
I recently came across this blog post from Tortoise & Lady Grey – Mend and Make Do: Guide to Mending Your Woollens . I was so excited as my woolens were neither going to sit in my wardrobe unworn or go to land-fill and as a bonus I wouldn’t have to spend more money buying new ones!
Kari has compiled a great list of tutorials for repairing woollens to inspire you and help you get started. Go check it out here.
Let me know of any other tutorials you find to do with mending or upcycling clothing – I’d love to hear about them them! Comment below.
