It’s only four more sleeps until Christmas day *excited*. I’d love to share with you how I go about choosing what to wear on Christmas Day.
I usually leave what I’m wearing on Christmas Day to the last minute. Meal planning, baking, gift wrapping, food shopping and hanging out with the family take priority and I also like to wait and see what the weather’s going to be like. I am planning for a warm, hot day this year when I usually select one of my comfortable ‘go-to’ dresses.
This is the festive op shop skirt turned dress I wore last Christmas
Whatever the weather on Christmas Day I like to dress ‘festive’ and comfortable. Here’s what I take in mind:
* Weather: hot or cool – I prefer light fabric and sleeveless on a hot day so will opt for a strappy casual dress or a dressy tank with shorts. If the weather is cooler I layer up.
* Activities: sitting down socialising, swimming, backyard cricket or board games – I’ll bring my swimmers and a kaftan if there is a chance I might take a dip. If back yard cricket is on the agenda I’ll opt for a top and dressy shorts.
* Indulging or grazing all day – jeans are out for me on Christmas Day. I like to feel comfy so if I get a bit bloated it’s not tight across my tummy – so something loose fitting like a dress or a skirt usually do the trick.
So this Christmas I’ll probably opt for a maxi skirt or maxi dress and add some accessories for ‘festiveness’ . Follow me on Instagram or Facebook to see what outfit I wear!
As the year comes to an end I want to share my heartfelt thanks with you for your support in 2016. This year has been a huge year for me both personally and professionally. You encourage me with your kind words and for that I am grateful. It is an honour to inspire each of you to tread more gently on our earth.
I recently came across this on Facebook thanks to Simple As That and wanted to share it with you coming into this weekend.
Wishing you all the happiest and most magical of Christmases with your loved ones. May your new year be full of abundant joy, radiant health and exciting adventures. xox
