Last Saturday I attended the Living Smart Festival and caught up with the gorgeous eco stylist and eco fashionista Faye De Lanty.
Like me Faye loves fashion that’s sustainable, easy to create while keeping on-trend and stylish and wardrobe outfits that are simple to put together. So, today I’m sharing my tips from Faye’s eco fashion catwalk presentation.
My top three take home tips to have you feeling stylish, sane and gorgeous for less:
#1 Keep it simple by sticking to the classics – Faye’s talking classic colours like; white, black, navy, khaki, neutral, and stripes then add pops of colour. Classic fabrics like linen, cotton, wool and denim. Classic pieces like denim jacket/jeans, trench coats, stripped dresses, white shirts, black tees, khaki pants.
#2 Recreate high end looks for less – take images from fashion mags you love and recreate the looks using preloved pieces saving you loads. Search for styles like Chanel inspired jackets and bags. Roll up and distress outdated jeans.

#3 Steal style from men’s wardrobes – ‘don’t forget the men’s section in an op shop’ Faye’s hot tip – it is great for basic white and black tees, white shirts, boyfriend style jeans and neck ties that can be used as belts.

Have a friend you know that would love these hot fashion tips? Forward them this newsletter so they too can see how simple and stylish preloved fashion can be for so much less.
