I can feel in the air that winter is coming. It is time for jumpers, boots and scarves yay!
Last week I popped into my local op shop to buy some fabric for an eco homestyling project I am doing and of course I just had to have a squiz at the jumpers. I managed to find 3 all for under $6 each.
One of the jumpers I found was a khaki coloured one. I recall from my catch-up with eco stylist Faye De Lanty last year and the hot fashion tips that she shared that this is a great colour find.
Once, I bought it home I styled it with items in my wardrobe to create a number of outfits. That way I know exactly how I can integrate it into my style and how I can wear it to different occasions. See below for the look I created with preloved items that saved me $383.
I came up with three looks which shows how versatile it is to have khaki coloured items in your wardrobe.
Look #1 – simmery evening scarf with black skinny jeans or faux leather pants.
Look #2 – white jeans, tan ankle boots and wooden beads.
Look 3# – denim and blue coloured scarf.
This outfit above:
Khaki jumper from local op shop $5
Wittner ankle boots from Raid My Wardrobe $40
True Religion Jeans from Raid My Wardrobe that I DIY distressed myself with a pair of scissors and a washing machine $20
Scarf from Raid My Wardrobe $2
Total Cost: $67
The jeans and boots alone brand new would have cost me around $400 or more. This is what is so fabulous about shopping for preloved at Raid My Wardrobe and your local op shops and markets – looking stylish and saving loads of money!
I’d love to see how you are styling Raid My Wardrobe finds in your wardrobe. Take a selfie and tag @raidmywardrobe on Facebook or Instagram and share with us your preloved style.
Yours in all things preloved and sustainable,
