Summer time is in the air and for some that means music festival season.
I recently went to Scene & Heard and before I share about what I wore and ideas of what to wear, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all the Raid My Wardrobe fans who recognised me and made the time to come up and chat with me and say ‘hi’. I really appreciate that and love hearing what you love about Raid My Wardrobe so much.

So, festivals can be hot during the day and cool at night and there are a few key items to include in your overall outfit to feel comfortable all day.
Here are some outfit musts:
Hat – the sun is hot and there is usually little shade so a wide brim hat is a must. Felt hats, fedoras seem to be the go tos at the moment. I wore a black felt hat and tied it into my look with black boots and accessories for the day. My hat could also fold up and fit in my bag when I didn’t need it.
Sunglasses – a cool pair of sunnies is a must have on hot, glarey days.

Bag – You’ll be wearing it all day so an across the body bag or back pack is my pick. It needs to be big enough to hold essentials like phone, keys, lip balm, cash/cards, sunnies. I opted for a back pack cause I also wanted mine to hold a water bottle, jacket, scarf and tights too.
Shoes – you are on your feet all day (like 8hrs), it can be really dusty plus you are dancing a lot of the time too so best to be wearing something comfortable like boots or canvas sneakers no strappy sandals, heels etc. I opted for low heeled, ankle boots cause they are comfy and I know I could dance in them 🙂

Clothes – Then what you actually wear can express your individuality as long as it’s comfortable, cool, protects you from the elements, you can dance in it and easy to get on and off when you go to the toilet (no playsuits/all-in-one suits recommended).
I wore cut-off denim shorts and a boho cotton shirt and then had a faux leather biker jacket when it got cooler in the evening. Cut-off shorts are a popular choice, short boho dresses, mid-riff tops, tie up shirts, flares, skirts, band t-shirts. The choice is endless go with natural fibres and comfort.

Jewellery – keep it simple, stylish, no dangling bits that can get caught on things, no precious pieces wear only things you are prepared to lose. And go with the face/body paint, bindis, stick on jewels it’s all part of adding to the fun of it.

Do you have any other ideas/tips for festival wear? I’d love to hear them.
Have a beautiful weekend!
Much much love
